Two Cupcakes

I love the way this card came out! My inspiration sketch was from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #89 and the Moxie Fab World Stamping with Markers Challenge. I love reading Paper Crafts Magazine and Moxie Fab World is one of their blogs. Some very inspirational stuff in there! I have seen a lot done with cord and thread and really want to try something new with this card. I interpreted the middle block on the sketch as two threads holding the stamped image. This cute little two cupcakes stamp is so cute. I thought it would be a cute wedding card, so I added the “congrats” sentiment. This could also be a cute valentine card, but I’m Valentine’s Day’ed out and couldn’t do it. 🙂

Scrap Card

I keep all my scraps…so when I saw this sketch from Card Patterns (#102) I was so excited to go through my scraps and try to use some up! I finally got a Martha Stewart Score board and am so excited about how easy it is to make accordion flowers now!

Wedding Flowers

I’m back crafting! I am so excited because I found out I won the prize last week at CPS for sketch #204! I loved that puppy card too! I ended up giving that to my 18 month old daughter for valentine’s day. She loves puppy and my husband and I love her lots! 🙂

Now for this week…I used CPS Sketch #205 to create this pretty wedding card. Its a wedding bouquet with Congrats underneath. Its getting to be wedding season, so I need to stock up on these cards. I was really challenged with this sketch and had to rotate it to do what I wanted it to do. I like it, but wish I could’ve done more with the half circle in the sketch. I ended up using a button for that, which I like, but buttons are my go to embellishment, so I wanted something different. Oh well, maybe next time.

More Valentine’s

Here are the last 3 valentine’s I created today. I didn’t have any sketch inspiration, but I still like the way they all turned out. I used my own digi stamp for the lady bug and fish. The last card is made on my cricut using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I love the little squirrel! He’s really nuts! Ha ha!

Tweet-heart!

I found a new challenge site called Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I have seen some of their sketches before, but never joined in the fun. I really liked sketch #88 this week and let it inspire this card. I loved the layout and thought my new tweet-heart bird would be good for this card. I’m still making valentine’s so who knows who will get this one. I used stickles again for the bling factor!  I loved the way this turned out and will use this sketch again!

Puppy Love

A valentine for everyone! Here is a valentine I created with my own digital stamp. I drew the dog on my computer and printed him out. I colored him in with my mark its. I still have  quite a bit to learn about coloring stamps, but I’m getting used to it. I wish I had copics, but they are just so expensive. Maybe some day! I really enjoyed using the sketch over at CPS (#204). It helped me keep this card simple, yet pretty. I added stickles on the heart for a little  bling! I think I might go back and add more though, you can’t have too much sparkle on a card!

Valentine Flowers

Hello there! Today I thought it would be fun to make some valentine’s for my family.  Here is a one I made inspired by Card Pattern Sketch #101. I stamped the flower image on cardstock and it was just too boring left black and white. I added some color with my mark its. I like the way it turned out. I think the buttons add a little dimension too.

Enjoy Today!

Enjoy today! Who wouldn’t want a card that told you to do that?!? 🙂 This is a great card for a birthday, graduation, wedding, or just an any day card. I don’t think you always need a reason to give a card. I used the Card Patterns sketch #99 as inspiration. I made the card quite simple compared to the examples the design team did, but I like that about this card. I really am loving the kraft paper and use it quite a bit for card bases. I think its fun to have something other than white sometimes.

Boy Birthday

I usually like to make cards that are pink and frilly and glittery, but wanted to have something on hand for a little boy. I used the sketch from CPS #202 to create this cute card. I had some DCWV Animal Crackers paper that I used for the background and embellished it with an elephant stamp. I had never tried paper piecing with a stamp before and I’m proud of how my elephant came out. I stamped the image on the kraft circle, a piece of plaid paper, and a piece of blue paper. I cut the elephant body out of the plaid paper, ear out of the blue one and glued them to the kraft one. Not too hard so I will definitely try to do this again!

Baby Card

Another baby card! Oh no! : ) Just kidding…I know a lot of people having babies so I’m really on a roll making cutesy baby cards. This one was inspired by the Card Patterns sketch #98. I used baby style paper from DCWV and stamped Sweet Baby and tried to make it look like a tag. The card is 4×8 which is a size I always forget about using. I love the way it looks. I think its pretty different because I always seem to make 4×6 or square cards.
